One membership,
lots of tools
Athena is the home of the web tools I build as a hobby. One account gets you into all of them. Join for free with Google, GitHub or your e-mail.
Tools
Tilvar
A science-first translation assistant running on our own server: European languages, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and the Turkic languages.
🛰️Vigil
Watch your own site, server or service; get notified the moment it goes down. Free members get a browser notification, Supporters also get e-mail.
🌠Aster
Gather your BOINC work on one page: project and country rankings, ranks, achievements, a carbon estimate and animated GIFs for your forum signature. No account needed.
🖥️Iris
No separate account needed: a standalone desktop manager for BOINC-style volunteer computing, with an optional Tilvar-powered assistant.
🔎Calytrix
Reviews your GitHub pull requests automatically with Tilvar: bugs, security, performance and missing-test findings. Sign in with your Athena account, then connect GitHub separately.
🌿Welwitschia
Visualizes any GitHub repository's commit history over time, with Tilvar-powered plain-language period summaries. No account needed.
🖧Lupinus
A native VNC/RDP remote desktop client for Windows, macOS and Linux, including macOS Screen Sharing. No account needed.
🛡️Tamarix
Scans a website with only safe, passive requests, scores HTTPS, security headers, cookies and more, and explains the result in plain language with Tilvar. No account needed.
🌱Rhizome
A modern IRC client for developer networks: real full-text search, SASL certificate login, seven themes. Windows, macOS and Linux. No account needed.
🔭Wollemi
An open, modular small-satellite platform and its first mission: a long-life, science-first 12U observatory. The design is complete at analysis level; no hardware yet.
☢️Yarrow
Plug in your Geiger counter and add to a live world map of natural background radiation. Open firmware for the FNIRSI GC-03 and a BOINC monitor.
🧩BitBOINC
Searches for the private keys of well-known, long-unclaimed “Bitcoin puzzle” addresses using volunteers' spare CPU/GPU time. This is not mining: no new coins are ever created.
New tools
Athena is growing. New tools will open with the same account as they arrive.

A hobby powered by the sun
By day the server runs on solar panels on my balcony. Run your heavy jobs during the day.
